Um, this might be the greatest thing I've read in weeks. Two and a half blog posts, shit! This topic has a book length appeal to yours truly. One question: What role did Alex P's early onset Parkinson's have in the moral degradation of the elder Keaton's? I do not believe, for a second, that had this successful plastic surgeon, who'd already suffered and coped with the trauma associated with fighting in a bloody, murky land war in Asia when he was merely 8 years old, been able to live out his days in good health his parents would have fallen so low. I, for one, think you are neglecting the very real pain parents feel when their own children are suffering from such a debilitating and chronic disorder. Alex had it all: girls, hoverboards, and an astute business acumen (though he did once sleep his way to the top). Watching him suffer through cloying, pitiable cameo appearances on scrubs must have been far too much for Steven to handle.

This post is laying the groundwork for not one, but two posts very much about SVU. There simply needed to be a refresher to give everyone a good jumping off point. We give the readers the point at which we last saw the Keatons, and as you will see in mere hours their path takes them down a darker road on their way to SVU.

Almost all of that info on the wikipedia page is true. He's the real deal and totally awesome. There's a book called Seagalogy by one of the Ain't It Cool News guys that at the very least is very readable and semi-interesting. I've read about 20 pages of the book while at a friend's house. There need to be more in-depth books dedicated to the life and work of Steven Seagal.

There will be some CI talk, but we're gonna try to keep it limited to SVU as much as possible. There will be no mention of that other American series (the jury is still out on L&O: UK.
